Huainan City is located in the hinterland of east China and along the bank of Huai River. It is an important city in the north central part of Anhui Province. Huainan has a long history. The finding of the fossil “Huainan Insect” more than 800 million years removed from modern times pushes more than 200 million years ahead of the statement that origin of life is less than 600 million years. The fossil tooth of anthropoid apes more than 300 million years removed from modern times is the earliest in Asia.
