Mirror Lake (Jinghu Lake) was called Taotang Pond. Covering an area of more than 200 mu (13.3 square kilometers), the lake is separated to an eastern lake and a western lake. The famous patriot and poet, also the Number One Scholar Zhang Xiaoxiang in the South Song Dynasty donated his farmland to make this lake. Since the water is very clear and looks like a round mirror, it is named as Mirror Lake.

Mirror Lake Scenic Area is an open area. Three buildings look over each other. The corridors of the curved bridge are connected. Among the fine willows, you can find many scenic spots, such as Statue of Historic and cultural famous person Xiaoyun from Wuhu, Library of Aying and Hongrong, Wang Buwen Memorial pavilion, and so on. Modern buildings stand around lake, which add strong city spirit to the famous historic scenic area of Fine Willows along Mirror Lake.
