Yangroupao (bread Dipped In Mutton Soup)
Yangroupao in Ankang distinguishes itself from that in Xi’an by attaching great importance to the mutton soup. Before eating, you should break the bread into small pieces, cut the cooked meat into slices and put them in a bowl. Then pour the boiling soup into the bowl and put in coriander, celery or garlic bolt. Mixed with salt and oiled red pepper, a bowl of delicious Yangroupao is ready for consumption.
Steamed noodle and “Yangroupao” (bread dipped in mutton soup) have become local people’s first choice for breakfast. Flour is its main ingredient which is mixed with water as well as a little salt before steamed in a big pot. Garnished with bean sprout and mixed with soy sauce, vinegar, mashed garlic, sesame paste and oiled red pepper, steamed noodle tastes extraordinarily delicious.
