are the staff at the bust station able to speak any english?

Hello. We will be traveling in guilin this August. We will stay in guilin for one night and then catch a bus to longsheng to see the terraced fields and back to Guilin, take a bus to yangshuo? Can we do that on our own? We do not know chinese. Will language a big problem for us? Can the staff at the bus station understand us? thanks

Do not count on staff at bus station in China speaking a word in english. Learn some basic Chinese is of great use when traveling in China.

I think that in Guilin now, a lot of people can speak english though not very well, but, you can communicate by a lot of means. language is not a big problem actually.
and you can take bus to yangshuo from guilin directly. it is very convinient.
