The Beijing 100 Birds Garden located near the ruins of the ancient Yuan city wall, is  for birds watching, protection and the breeding in the capital. In the middle of the garden, there stands a gigantic bird net, which is 40 meters high and more than 22, 000 square meters in size. The net is home to birds of approximately 100 species, among which, some are rare birds under special national protection such as green peacock, red crown crane etc., others are migrants from tens of thousands of miles from Beijing, and good examples are the black swan and Australian ostrich.

The garden is a heaven of birds as well as a paradise of true bird lovers. It is a good place for people watch and study birds and an education base for the environmental protection, especially for the teenagers.
