Biyun Temple or the temple of Azure Cloud, is located near the Fragrant Hills Park. Its magnificent and elegant pagoda-halls were first built in 1331 of the Yuan Dynasty. The temple was developed from a Nunnery: Biyun Nunnery . It was expanded in the reigns of the Yude and Tianqi Emperors in the Ming Dynasty and in 1748 during the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty. Covering a space of 40,000 square meters, the buildings are set against the hill and rise in layers.

A very famous temple. The scenery is great with the sky reaching trees and magnificent pagodas. Very worth visiting, but it is not very easy to find.
