Beijing Jindinghu(Jinding Lake)Tourism Resort occupies an area of 9.88 square kilometers. It combines tourism and recreation, and is the largest tourism resort of its kind in Beijing suburb. The magnificent JinDing Lake in the resort has an area of 155 square meters and is 35 meters deep. Facing the gorgeous Jinding Lake, there is the JinDing Lake Ski Resort surrounded by splendid mountains.
The tourism resort is situated northeast to the JuGeZhuang village that is 15 kilometers from MiYun town center and 80 kilometers from downtownBeijing. Yet taking the newly constructed JingMi highway, it is only a 45-minute drive from Beijing city center.
The Jindinghu Lake Ski Resort has been designed and constructed based upon careful research on the Chinese ski market. A variety of advanced equipments and technologies have been brought in from overseas, and various tracks and facilities have been elaborately designed and built. There are a wide range of tracks for different levels of skiers and snowboarders: there is a 1,300-meter training track, a 700-meter beginners' track, a 360-meter intermediate track, a 140-meter children's play field, a snow motorcycle racing track and a snowboarding track.. Moreover a multi-functional entertainment complex occupying an area over 10,000 square meters has been built right beside the field. It contains a customer service center, a VIP hall, an equipment rental shop, a ski shop, a food court with Eastern and Western cuisines, bars and cafes. Along the Jinding Lake, there are 20 European style villas providing cozy and pleasant accommodations for visitors from all over the world. In winter the JinDing Lake will turn into a large natural ice-skating rink adding more fun and laughter to the resort.
The onsite parking lot is able to hold up to 50 buses and 200 cars. The ski resort is expected to accommodate 3000 visitors at a time.
