Beijing Chrysanthemum Exhibition, Beijing

Beijing abounds with various kinds of chrysanthemums. With the chrysanthemum cultivation history of nearly one thousand years, chrysanthemum was selected as the city flower of Beijing in 1986. Each year, there are chrysanthemum exhibitions in many famous parks in Beijing, among which, the chrysanthemum exhibition in Beihai Park is the most popular. During the cool autumn, a large number of chrysanthemums are in full bloom, which ranks as a highlight of Beijing tour in autumn. The main chrysanthemum exhibition parks are as follows:

1. Beihai Park

In Beihai Park, there are over 500 varieties of chrysanthemum, containing more than 20,000 bonsais of chrysanthemums on display, such as miniascape chrysanthemum, cliff chrysanthemum and modelling chrysanthemum.

2. Zhongshan Park

The chrysanthemum exhibition is in TangHua dock in the southwest corner of Zhongshan Park. Though the exhibition scale is not so large, there are exhibitions of both chrysanthemums and many other kinds of flowers.

3. Tiantan Park

4. Beijing Botanical Garden

From the South Gate of the Botanical Garden to the front of the greenhouse, tourists can view various kinds of golden chrysanthemums on the main touring route.
