Beijing International Music Festival, which was firstly held in the year 1998, is an annual grand musical activity approved by the Ministry of Culture and Beijing Municipal government. Since it has been held, the festival has been highly praised by people from all walks of life. Beijing International Music Festival is usually held from Oct. 11 to Oct. 31 every year during autumn, with about 30 performances such as opera, chamber music concert, solo concert, classic Jazz concert, song and dance drama, symphony concert and vocal concert. The festival contributes to developing and expanding traditional Chinese culture. During the festival, numerous famous art performers and musical groups from home and abroad will come to Beijing to participate.
