Guanmen Mountain

Brief Introduction:

There are two peaks face to face. One is wide and big, the other is narrow and small. The two peaks are like a door; hence it gets the name-Guanmen Mountain.

There are five attractions on Guanmen Mountain. Firstly, the mountain is beautiful. Precipitous peaks stand with graceful pines and odd stones on the top like an ideally matched giant-scale miniature landscape. Secondly, the water is beautiful. A breeze ripples the surface of the reservoir; Green mountains along the both banks reflect on the surface; Tourists can go boating to enjoy the grand scenery. Thirdly, Trees here are beautiful. There are a variety of trees on the mountain and especially it is famous for its autumn colors of maple trees. Fourthly, Flowers here are beautiful. Magnolias and rhododendrons scatter over hill and dale sending off pleasant smelling. The last, clouds here are beautiful. Clouds, mountains and water here become a integrated mass, particularly enchanting. At close range, Mist wreathed, complicated and confusing; at far range, clouds look splendid in the sunshine. The peaks are gleaming with a shy look. At this moment, Guanmen Mountain has the verve of Huangshan Mountain and the elegance of the south of the lower reaches of the Yangze River. Many people come here to draw from nature in an endless stream every year.

How to get there:

ourists can take a bus or mini bus to Xiaoshi Passenger Station and the fare is 7 yuan. And then you can change a mini bus to Caohekou and get off at Guanshan station and the fare is 3 yuan. You can also rent a bus from Xiaoshi Passenger Station to Guanmen Mountain, but you had better have 6 or 8 people to travel together. The fare is 20 yuan. It is fast and convenient.

Tips: The tourists in Shenyang can take a bus here and the station is in the opposite intersection of the ticket office of Shenyang Railway Station. The bus sets off every 15 minutes and the fare is 15 yuan Tourists can still take a bus or mini bus to Xiaoshi Passenger Station and the fare is 7 yuan.
