Tiesha Mountain is a remaining mountain range of Long White Mountain and the highest peak is 700 meters over sea levels, occupying a total area of 20 mu of land. There are five mountain peaks on the mountain: the middle peak is Yuanshi Peak; the north peak is Zhenwu Peak; the south peak is Lingbao Peak; the east peak is Yuhuang Peak and the west peak is Taishang Peak. Looking upward from the north, the south and the east directions separately, Tree mountain peaks are visible. From the three directions, nine peaks are seeable, so the mountain is also called Nine Peaks Tiesha Mountain. The mountain is the birthplace of Taoism in north-east China. There are many caves on the mountain: Cloud and Light Cave, Heavenly Bridge Cave, Heaven and Earth Cave, Sunshine Cave, Wind and Moon Cave, Hanging Stone Cave, Guozhu Cave and Three Immortals Cave. Cloud and Light Cave, the largest one, is about 20 meters deep and from 7 to 10 meters wide, turning upward. “Eight Treasures” in the cave are: A Pearl Which Can Stop Wind, Stone god of Longevity, Stone Tiger, Stone Dragon, Stone Toad, Stone Wooden Fish, Stone Bed and Stone Lotus. “Nine Peaks Tiesha Mountain, Eight Treasures Cloud and Light Cave” are inscribed on the outside of the Cave. There are many carved stones on the mountain, among which a carved stone “As Long As Heaven” is eight meters high and 5 meters wide with each character as big as a basin. Taoists on the mountain protect the temple and the forests.
