Siem Reap is located 311 kilometers away from Phnom Penh and it’s only 152 kilometers away from the border of Thailand. It has a total population of only 85,000. Nowadays, Siem Reap’s tourism develops rapidly, benefiting by the world famous Ankor Wat which is one of the top seven wonders in the world. Compared with the noisy Phnom Penh, Siem Reap appears quite and peaceful. Every year, numerous tourists flock there to visit the magnificent Ankor Wat. Besides, it’s also a good opportunity for visitors to know about the traditional lifestyle and customs of Cambodians while touring.

Siem Reap enjoys a tropical monsoon climate with the annual average temperature of 24°C. The rainy seasons last from May to October and the dry seasons last from November to the following April. The best seasons to visit there are from December to the following February when the weather is mild and there is not much rain. However, to the shutterbugs, Ankor Wat in the rainy seasons is more suitable for photographing.
