Disorderly Needle Embroidery, Changzhou

It was pioneered by Professor Yang Shouyu, a well-known embroidery artist in our country. It combines painting arts with embroidery techniques together, breaks the traditional framework of closed needle and lining up the threads, takes needle as paintbrush and threads as color and employs crisscrossed short and long lines to display the depth and breadth of the object. The works has unique artistic effects like oil painting or close to artistic photography.
