Railway Transport

Only several trains stop at Chaohu Railway Station each day, including those from Hangzhou to Taiyuan, from Bengbu/Fuyang to Xiamen , from Huaibei/Hefei to Wuhu and from Hefei to Huangshan.

Highway

Chaohu City lies in the middle of the Hefei-Wuhu express highway and it takes only around half an hour to go to either Hefei or Wuhu by bus. The Passenger Transportation Center is on East Changjian Road. Besides those to the places inside the province, bus lines are also available to all the big cities all over the country.

City Transport

Bus

Given that more than 30 bus lines are available, the cityl transportation is very convenient. Most of the buses are self-service and the cost varies from 1 yuan to 2 yuan each person.

Taxi

Taxi charges 6 yuan within the first three kilometers, and then 1.40 yuan for each additional kilometer. But bargain is sometimes acceptable.
