Yuecheng Lake

Yuecheng Lake is located by Yuecheng Mountain (Guicheng Mountain) and named after it. Surrounded by Zhangren Peak of Qingcheng Mountain and Qinglong Hill, Yuecheng Lake gains constant water sources from the Qingxi River flowing down the First Peak of Qingcheng Mountain, covering 30,000 square meters. According to Chinese legend, it is many fairies’ favorite place for living, self-cultivating and getting together. The lake water is too limpid that people even can’t distinguish the real landscape from its reflection. The lush mountain and the green lake melt together harmoniously. Visitors can sit down to drink a cup of tea while walking around the corridor along the lake. Visitors also can take a sightseeing boat to get closer to the fascinating lake. Being a fairyland far away from the hustle and bustle of city, Yuecheng Lake has become very popular among tourists from home and abroad.

situated by Yuecheng Mountain and surrounded by Zhangren Peak of Qingcheng Mountain and Qinglong Hill, 66 kilometers away from Chengdu City

from 8:00 to 17:00 every day

How to get there:

There are tourist buses from Chengdu railway station to Qingcheng Mountain every 10 minutes every day.

Tips:

You'd better get a map before you come to visit Yuecheng Lake, for it is surrounded by mountains and it's difficult to find the way.
