Besides the railway and highway, Chengdu also opened the subway in 2010. Chengdu Metro Line 1, which is the first Metro Line in West China opened on September 27th, 2010 in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. It's modern, clean and safe. Metro Line 1 goes through the most parts of Chengdu from Shenxian Lake to the north to Century City to the south. Chengdu Metro Line 1 is 18.5 kilometers long with 17 stations.
