About China Renaissance Hotels

Luxury, sophistication, high end—this is the Renaissance brand. It is one of the most popular hotel chains of Marriott International, which is world renowned in itself. Marriott started as a root beer station before it was expanded to offer lodging. Soon it became a hotel. The longest-running Marriott is located in Arlington, Virginia. The group also offers other diversified proper portfolios such as JW Marriott, Edition, Autograph Collection, Courtyard by Marriott, Marriott Hotels and Resorts, and the Ritz-Carlton, which became a huge hit after it was bought. The brand already has hundreds of locations in all major continents. The expansion in Asia, primarily in China, started around 2010. Its goal is to open over 500 hotels in 2015. Renaissance Hotel, on the other hand, is Marriott’s answer to the high-end needs of travelers. Some of them are currently operating under a franchise. Nevertheless, the quality of service and the great taste in amenities are basically the same. It used to be Ramada Renaissance Hotel owned by Ramada Inns. In 1997, it formed part of Marriott. There are more than 10 Renaissance hotels in China, most of which are found in Beijing and Shanghai. There is also a Renaissance in Hong Kong. Those that are located in urban areas are close to the central business and entertainment districts. Their rooms are equipped with more modern but elegant furniture and beds, with large spaces spanning around 40 square meters. The windows are soundproof but offer gorgeous views of the city lights. A special access to a lounge is provided to special guests. Renaissance hotels around Sanya, for example, are more tropical with palm trees, several swimming pools, access to a private beach, and villa-type rooms. They also offer more outdoor activities and amenities like a tennis court. In all Renaissance hotels, guests can participate in Marriott’s reward program.
