Though most of the tourists stay here because of the waterfalls, the Guilin Lijiang Hotel is also noted for its role in Chinese history. It stands on what used to be the original Lijiang Hotel where some of the powerful leaders of the country stayed. Aside from this, it introduces guests to various prides of the region through its nearness to several attractions and picture-perfect views of the river, lake, and pagodas from the window.

Rooms
The hotel has one of the biggest numbers of rooms: over 600 in total. They are classified as standard, executive, deluxe single, and deluxe suites. The amenities are pretty similar to those offered by other hotels in the area, but they are much better in terms of views, as most of them have vistas of the Lijiang River. Those located on the upper floors can even provide picturesque scenery of a pair of pagodas.

Features
Most definitely the highlight of the hotel is its waterfall, which flows lovingly in front of its façade. It is so amazing it’s already part of the Guinness Book of World Records. The waterfall is about 45 meters in height with width that spans to over 70 meters. It also hosts an eclectic array of restaurants and cafes with their own specialties, including a veteran dining room that serves hotpot. Some restaurants serve breakfast all the way to dinner, while Water Silk Road is open 24 hours.

Transportation
The main international airport is roughly 20 minutes away at 25 kilometers. One of the closest central train stations is no more than 3 kilometers. From the Airport Road, proceed to Kum Tam Road, then Shanghai Road, Zhongshan Middle and then Shanhu Road. If you want to ride the bus from the Guilin Railway Station in Zhongshan South Road, proceed south onto 10 South Road, transfer toward 89 Road until it stops at Lam Kwai Yeung Tong Bus Depot. Walk for about a minute to reach the hotel.
