Today's Activities: The Mutianyu Great Wall Hike, The Mutianyu Great Wall

- The Mutianyu Great Wall Hike (2 hours): Hiking along Mutianyu Great Wall will take 3-4 hours. This less-crowded section of the Great Wall is 90km NE of Beijing. Walk along the wall enjoy superb views through the watch towers and as it snakes across the hills and mountains. Wear good walking shoes and protection from the weather.
- The Mutianyu Great Wall (1.5 hours): This less-crowded section of the Great Wall is a about 1.5-2 hours' drive from downtown Beijing. A cable car takes you to a good section (avoiding a very steep climb), where you can walk along the wall, through the watch towers and enjoy superb views as it snakes across the hills and mountains. You can return by cable car, walk down or walk along the wall for about an hour to descend by chairlift. Wear good walking shoes and protection from the weather.

Today's Activities: Hike from The Gubeikou-Jinshanling Great Wall, The Gubeikou Great Wall
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch, Chinese Dinner

- Hike from The Gubeikou-Jinshanling Great Wall (5 hours): Hike about 10km from Gubeikou to Jinshanlin Great Wall section takes us about 5 hours. If the weather is good you could see Miyun Reservoir and the Wangjing Tower on the Simatai Section during the hike. A military area cuts the Great Wall and must be bypassed. This diversion goes through a friendly village and then hike directly to the Jinshanling section of the Wall.
- The Gubeikou Great Wall (2 hours): Gubeikou had been a fortification of significant military importance since China's imperial era. The Great Wall at Gubeikou was built on precipitous mountain ridges which conform to the rolling mountain terrain. Gubeikou Great Wall has 143 beacon towers at an average interval of 156 meters, with the closest two being only 30 meters apart.

- Hiking from the Jinshanling Great Wall to Simatai Great Wall (4 hours): Jinshanling Great Wall section is an ideal place for hiking enthusiasts to test themselves against its steep gradients and to enjoy the landscape. Jinshanling to Simatai section is a distance of about 10 km. Only partly restored, it's less crowded, and provides a unique view of the Wall, watchtowers and magnificent scenery. A flying fox (optional) operates at the end of the hike to take hikers to the bottom. This provides a spectacular view of the scenery around and the reservoir under the cable car. Comfortable walking shoes and protection from the weather are a necessity.

Today's Activities: The Huangyaguan Great Wall Hike, The Huangyaguan Great Wall
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch

- The Huangyaguan Great Wall Hike (3 hours): Hiking along Huangyaguan Great Wall will take 2-3 hours. This precipitous wall clinging to the steep mountain has served as the guardian of Tianjin for centuries since its completion over 1,300 years ago. It is not dangerous, and features some interesting structures, such as watchtowers, parapets, and fire-pits.
- The Huangyaguan Great Wall (2 hours): The Huangyaguan Great Wall is 28 kilometers north of Ji county. Originally built in Tianbao 7th of Beiqi,the Huangyanguan was repaired for the first time in Ming Dynasty with bricks and for the second time in 1985. In 1986 it was listed as a key relics protection target of Tianjin city. Now it is also chosen as a patriotic education and national defense education base of Tianjin.
