Beijing Arrival (Flight not Included)

Welcome to China! As you arrive in Beijing, you will feel warm welcome by your Beijing tour guide and driver. You will be escorted to hotel for check-in. Free time afterwards.

    Day 2

    Beijing

    Destinations & activities: Mutianyu Section of the Great Wall, Bird's Nest and Water Cube at National Olympic Stadiums, a cloisonné factory

    Have breakfast at your hotel. Later, start our morning with a visit to the Great Wall at Mutianyu Section, one of the easiest section with stunning views. You will take a cable car uphill and trek downhill. Have lunch in a farmhouse-style restaurant after a visit at a local cloisonné factory. In the afternoon, you will pass through Beijing's skyscrapers to the National Olympic Stadiums, where the funky-looking Bird's Nest and Water Cube are located.

  • For history buffs, a digital show "Old Beijing Gets Moving" is worth a check out, just near the National Olympic Stadiums.

    Day 3

    Destinations & activities: Tian'anmen Square, Forbidden City, Beihai Park, an old pearl store

    As Beijing's landmark, Tian'anmen Square means more to Chinese people than a public square. This morning, you will take a look-around on the square before march into the Forbidden City. Forbidden City, or Royal Palace Museum, Gugong Museum, Purple Forbidden City, it was home to over 20 emperors during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Learn how to spot a real pearl from a fake one at an old pearl store before lunch time. Lunch will be served inside a lovely courtyard house restaurant.

    In the afternoon, you will take a leisure walk in Beihai Park,get a distance vision of the Lama pagoda, White Pagoda inside the park. Free time for your solo adventure.

  • Beihai Park offers a relaxing moment in the city. An ornate boat trip is available (extra cost on your own exspense.).
  • Get out from the North Gate of Beihai Park, you will find Shichahai Hutong, where Huguo Temple, Houhai Bar Street, Gong Prince Palace and other sites should be enough to kill your free time. Ask for tips to plan your time wisely.

    Day 4

    Beijing to Shanghai (By High Speed Train NO.G15)

    Destinations & activities: Free time in Beijing, Hotel - Train Station Transfer

    Have a free morning in Beijing. At around 10am, your Beijing tour guide will take you to the train station. You will take a high speed train to Shanghai at 11am. In less than 5 hours, you will meet up your Shanghai tour guide. Check in hotel and relax.

  • A flag raising ceremony on Tian'anmen Square, or a short visit to the Drum Tower are both great for a free morning in Beijing. Ask for exact time for the flag raising ceremony the night before.

    Day 5

    Destinations & activities: Shanghai Museum, The Bund, Old French Concession, Tianzifang, a silk factory

    Learn something about Shanghai in Shanghai Museum, with an English guide device. Take a walk along the Bund, glance at the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. Stop at a local silk factory before lunch. Lunch is served in a popular Cantonese restaurant.

    Afternoon, we keep on walking to the Old French Concession, where history lives and echos along the sideways lined up with plane trees. Take a turn into Tianzifang, which was renewed from the old Shikumen buildings and now a place for fashion and arts.

  • As some reviewers claim, Tianzifang offers an "Atmospheric, authentic insight to Old Shanghai". A trandy shopping area,Xintiandi, is just a few steps away.
