Today you will arrive in Beijing Capital International Airport, where your Beijing tour guide will pick you up. You will learn something briefly about Beijing on the way to hotel for check-in.
Tiananmen Square, The Forbidden City, Lama Temple, Lizexiang Pearl Store
Without a doubt, the Forbidden City is the first gateway to approach to Beijingers' life. This morning, you can do some people-watching at the square before we get into the Forbidden City. The Palace of Heavenly Purity, Hall of Supreme Harmony, Hall of Mental Cultivation and Royal Garden will be included.
Try some traditional Beijing noodle and visit a pearl store.
In the afternoon, you will visit a finest detailed and functioning temple: Lama Temple. Afterwards, you will have some solo adventure in the Hutongs around the Lama Temple.
- Smart Tips:
Heading east about 500m from the Lama Temple, you will get to Guozijian Hutong, where you can visit Guozijian, aka the Imperial College and Confucian Temple nearby. Guozijian Hutong itself is an interesting Hutong to visit, as well as Wudaoying Hutong, which is replete with artist cafes and old Siheyuan courtyard houses.
Kung Fu Show at Red Theatre creates a cinematic visual experience for you.
Temple of Heaven, The Mutianyu Great Wall(with round way cable car), Shahe Cloisonne Factory
Enjoy your fresh coffee in the sunshine of Beijing. Later, you will visit the Temple of Heaven. Here, you will approach the beautiful Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests via the Danbi Bridge.
Slightly farther than other sections of the Great Wall, Mutianyu Section is significantly less crowded. One can even see the desert of Mongolia in the distance during a clear day.
At noon, a farm-house-style restaurant prepares a good meal for you. Later, pay a brief visit at a cloisonné factory to see how the clay turns into a bowl.
Driving back downtown Beijing takes about 2 hours, relax en route. Have some free time in the city.

You will take a round-trip cable ride at the Great Wall, of course, you can change to hiking or cable ride downhill.
A foot massage or a body massage is needed if you want to relax after all the walking today. Ask your Beijing tour guide for direction.
Free time, Hotel to Train station Transfer (Beijing)
Beijing would be fun for your solo adventure. We have listed out things you might find interesting. Do remember, however, your Beijing tour guide will take you to the train station at the evening for the overnight train to Xi'an.

Overnight Train to Xian

Your train will arrive in Xi'an at 8am. Get picked up by your Xi'an tour guide and have some simple breakfast after check-in.
Waste no time, your Xi'an tour starts at the Forest of Steles Museum, where you can get a glance at Chinese calligraphy and carving art. Have lunch in a traditional Shaanxi-style restaurant.
Back in the Tang Dynasty, Monk Xuan Zang took a long and painstaking journey to India for Buddhist scriptures. Nowadays, this part of history is kept at the famous temple of Xi'an: Ci'en Temple with Big Wild Goose Pagoda. When the sun is setting, you will be walking along the Ancient City Wall.
Xian to Overnight Train

One of the most remarkable features of the famous Terracotta Army is that, each of the over-7,000 soliders comes in different sizes and styles, including beards, hairstyles and facial expressions. It is like they are still guarding the tomb of Qin Shihuang, the first emperor of China. After a couple of hours at this incredible site, you will stop by an art center.
After lunch, you will be free off your solo adventure.
At the evening, your Xi'an tour guide will take you to the train station. An overnight train with comfortable sleeper seat will take you to Chongqing.

Get a great view of Xi'an city at the Ancient City Wall best time to visit is sunrise and sunset.
You can buy some food for tonight's train ride at the Muslim Quarter. Near the quarter, there is a mosque, Great Mosque, worthy a visit.
Train station Transfer (Chongqing), Goose Neck Park, Ciqikou Old Town, Panda Room in Chongqing Zoo, Cruise pier Transfer (Chongqing), Board the ship between 19:00 and 22:00, and depart from Chongqing at 22:00. (Dinner is not included on the first evening.)
The train arrives in Chongqing at around 10am.
For only one day in Chongqing, you will visit the Panda Room in the Chongqing Zoo, where you can meet up the precious pandas. Later, have lunch in a traditional restaurant serving Sichuan cuisine.
In the afternoon, visit Goose Neck Park, home to special plant species and you can get a bird's view of the entire city at the top of Liangjiang Pavilion. Later, get to the lovely small town at Ciqikou. An art gallery will be our last stop in Chongqing.
At night, your Chongqing tour guide will escort you to the pier. Board on your Yangtze River cruise and enjoy the night!

Waking up in the wave sound of the Yangtze River, you will embrace the morning of nature. Today you will take a short visit to Shibaozhai. Shibaozhai, literally meaning Stone Treasure Fortress, and its riverside location is what allows the historic hill site much of its beauty. The sheer vertical cliffs below it stand more than 56 meters tall, thus creating much curiosity over the centuries. The red pavilion found there was first built in 1750 during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) and has since been restored. Inside, visitors can see many interesting artifacts since each of the 12 floors is dedicated to a famous general from the Three Kingdoms Period (220-265), a local scholar, or a known Chinese poet.

Fengdu Ghost City is not included in our itinerary, but it's available to book after you get on the cruise. Cost will be your own exspense.

Shore excursion to Shennong Stream(1:30pm-5:30pm). You have the option of visiting White Emperor City(RMB260 per person).

On your spectacular Yangtze River cruise today, the first gorge of the day will be Qutang Gorge and then later pass through Wu Gorge. After lunch, you will have the chance to go on land to visit Shennong Stream, a tributary of the Yangtze River. It is a dramatic piece of natural beauty with water rushing past karst caves, vertical cliffs, numerous waterfalls, three-colored springs, an ancient plank path, and much more. As well, there is an option to visit the White Emperor City, also known as Baidi city (price not included).
The crew will later put on a performance for your entertainment, and the vessel will sail through the 5-step ship locks, bringing you back to Yangtze.

Yichang to Shanghai by Flight No. TBA

Arrive in Yangshuo in the afternoon, check in upon arrival. Taking a cycling trip in the countryside, your Guilin tour guide will lead your way through the rice peddies, narrow country roads and humble villages. Later, you can take a free stroll along the West Street.
