Destinations & activities: Hiking from Yangdi to Xingping Town

- Hiking from Yangdi to Xingping Town: A hike along Li River is a great way to explore the beautiful scenery of the area and to observe the local farmers’ lifestyle. After an hour’s drive from Guilin visitors will reach the starting point of the hike at Yangdi. Along the 20 km hike to Xingping from Yangdi for five yours you will explore many small villages, karst mountains, orchards and rice fields. Xingping is featured on China’s 20 Yuan note and is a great place for taking photographs along with the nine horse fresco. During this hike you will cross Li River in a ferry three times. You will then be picked up by our driver at Xingping for a drive to Yangshou. Visitors are advised to bring snacks since there are no restaurants in the area.

Hiking Tips:
1. Lunch will be served half way at a local village restaurant.
2. Please wear suitable clothes and walking shoes for the outdoors.
3. Please bring a cap, water, sun glasses and sunscreen.
4. The best time to visit the area is in autumn and spring when the humidity and temperatures are low.

- Yangshuo Countryside Cycling: Experience the excitement of the traffic in Yangshuo before you visit the tranquil countryside of Yangshuo where you can bike alongside orchards, famous mountains and paddy fields to explore China’s rural life. Half way along the trip you will visit a local farmer family where you can observe their country lifestyle.
- Cafe Del Moon: One of the most popular restaurants in Yangshuo, Café Del Moon has made a name for itself for western cuisine. The restaurant serves freshly ground coffee, firewood pizza and offers a beautiful location for enjoying mountain scenery.
