TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrive in Guilin

Meals: No meals

Things to do:

Welcome to Guilin, a beautiful karst lnad in Southwest China. You will meet your guide at the arrival hall of the airport who will transfer you to the hotel in a private vehicle.

 

The rest of today is free for you to have a good rest.

 

 

Day 2:Guilin to Yangshuo by Cruise, Biking in Yangshuo

Meals: Breakfast and Chinese Lunch on the Cruise

Accommodation: Aiyuan Hotel

Things to do:

This morning you will take the cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo to appreciate the picturesque scenery along the Li River and the distinct mountains. Starting from the Zhujiang Pier, you will meet different views at every new bend. Almost every bend will give you surprise with a special angle. There are fishermen rowing narrow bamboo raft along the river and if lucky you can see cormorants catching fish.

 

Upon your arrival in Yangshuo County, you will be going to experience another activity—biking on Yangshuo ountry road, which is a quite interesting program. Distinct from Li River Cruise, you will enjoy the view by cycling around the country road. On the half way you will visit a local family and talk to them personally. This will give an unique look into local rural life.

 

 

Day 3: Hiking along the Yulong River, Yangshuo Local Market

Meals: Breakfast

Things to do:

Today you will be hiking along the Yulong River from Gongnong Bridge to Yima Village with around 7 km long. The hiking will last about 4 hours. The Yulong River is the tributary of the Li River and drains around Yangshuo, which is regarded as another Shangri-la. Your guide will escort you to a local family to pay a visit and talk with them by which way you can have a deeper view into China farmers' life.

 

Another program you will take toady is visiting a local market in Yangshuo County. There you can see different local people doing shopping for daily meals.

 

You guide will escort you back to Guilin in a private vehicle after finishing your Yangshuo tour.

 

 

Day 4:Reed Flute Cave, Elephant Trunk Hill and Depart Guilin by Flight

Today you will visit the highlights of Guilin City— Reed Flute Cave and Elephant Trunk Hill.

 

Being famous as the State Guest Cave in China, Reed Flute Cave has received lots of celebrities like former US presidents Nixon and Carter. There are reeds used for making flutes and pipes that grow at the cave's entrance, so that it is called Reed Flute Cave. It is 240 meters long and the length of the tour is about 550 meters in about 40-minute visit. The cave offers a magic landscape of stalagmites, stone pillars and stones in fantastic shapes and colors.

 

Elephant Trunk Hill is another attraction you should not miss in Guilin City. Located at the junction of the Li River and the Peach River, the hill looks like an elephant drinking water with its trunk. It is also the symbol of Guilin City.
