As your international flight lands in Beijing, our Beijing local tour guide will escort you to hotel for check-in.

    • Activities: Tiananmen Square, The Forbidden City, Hutong Tour in Dongcheng District, The Southern Gong and Drum Lane, Lizexiang Pearl Store

    Morning stroll through the vast Tian'anmen Square and pass by Chairman Mao's large photograph hung on the tower gate. Rectangular-shaped, walled up, surrounded by moats, the Forbidden City is the highlight of today.

    A local rickshaw rider knows his way in the Hutong. Sit back and enjoy the views before visit a local family. Next, stroll along the famous hutong: Nanluoguxiang Hutong. Stop by a pearl store.

    Construction of Temple of Heaven began at 1420. It's the classic script of the Ming Dynasty architecture. Drive about an hour to reach the Great Wall at Mutianyu Section. The Wall is tough to climb so we cheat with a round-way cable car. Visit a traditional cloisonne factory.

  • Please keep an eye on your stuff during the train ride. Pack some snacks or fruits for a night bite. There's no bathroom for shower on the train, so some Kleenex and baby wipes are needed.

    Day 5 Xian
    • Activities: Train station Transfer (Xian), Muslim Quarters, Shaanxi History Museum, Big Wild Goose Pagoda

    Arrive in Xi'an and check in hotel.

    Get a priview of Xi'an at Shaanxi History Museum. Big Wild Goose Pagoda was built to honor the eminent Monk Xuan Zang (602-664) of Tang who brought scriptures and Buddha's statues from the ancient India. Grasp a lively photo at the Muslim Quarter.

    Early morning is the best time to walk on the Ancient City Wall. Frozen in time, the 8,000 clay soldiers have been determindedly standing for ages. Enjoy the impressive views at the Terracotta Army. Stop by an interesting art center.

    Shanghai's morning sunlight shines your way. Check in and have simple breakfast.

    The Bund is definitely a great window for you to know about Shanghai. Learn some history at Shanghai Museum and tour Yuyuan Garden. Get to the Former French Concession and delve into the interesting Tianzifang. Today we will make a brief stop at a silk store.
