A 48-million U.S. dollars preservation project on the Potala Palace, Sagya Monastery and Norbu Lingka Palace, three of the most important relics in Lhasa, Tibet, are expected to be completed late this year.
It was learnt Thursday at a meeting on protection of cultural relics in Tibet Autonomous Region. No exact time for completion of the repair projects was specified at the meeting.

In a new effort to find a permanent use for facilities used during the 2008 Olympics, a theme restaurant will be built in the National Stadium, the main venue for the Games, while a carnival theme park will be built in the Olympic Green.
