Chinese celebrate Double Ninth Festival

City cleaners and elders cut cake together at the Xinghai Park Rest Home of Dalian city, northeast China's Liaoning Province, Oct. 6, 2008. People throughout China started to celebrate the coming Double Ninth Festival, which is considered a traditional occasion to pay respect to the aged. The festival falls on the ninth day of the ninth month of the Chinese lunar calendar, or Oct. 7 this year.
