With the weather getting warmer, the plum blossom came into flower this weekend at Meihuashan (Plum Blossom Mountain), Nanjing, and the best time to see plum blossom and the spring tours began.
 
There are many species of plum blossom at Meihuashan, such as Nanjing Hongxu, a vermilion species, and Button Jade Butterfly. Today’s special focus was the Lovers’ Plum Blossom, as it is Saint Valentine’s Day. The Lovers Plum Blossom trees are two hundred-year old, but they stand erect and embraced each other like a couple of lovers, and that’s how they got their name.
