A man got so drunk last Thursday that he mistook a window on the fifth floor of his apartment building for a door -- and stepped out into space.

Li drank like a fish while having dinner with some friends that night. He was drunk by the time he returned home, and ended up walking out of the window while attempting to go to the toilet in his place in Shijiazhuang, capital of Hebei province, Zhao, his roommate, said.

Li ended up breaking his legs and would have been in trouble if Zhao had not immediately called rescue workers for help.
