Eighth Peach Blossom Festival to Be Held in Tibet

The 8th Peach Blossom Festival is set to open in Nyingchi Prefecture, southeastern Tibet , on March 21, and will mark the start of travels to Tibet in spring.

With the theme of "appreciating snow in a new land and hiking in Spring in peach blossom parks," the two-day annual festival will open in Gengzhang Moinba Ethnic Township.

During the festival, a series of special activities will be held, such as a song and dance performance, tasting Tibet's unique food, a horse race and a bonfire party.

Meanwhile, tourists can also visit the various scenic spots in Nyingchi and go rafting. A photography contest will also be held from March 10 to 20.
