On October 31, the 184-day Shanghai Expo 2010 finally came to an end and a closing ceremony was held in the Expo site on Sunday evening. China has fulfilled the promise of presenting the world with a successful and unforgettable World Exposition. The Shanghai Expo received a total number of 73 million visitors, exceeding the preset goal.

Shanghai Expo became the most wonderful World Exposition so far, and it successfully broke a series of records on the history of the World Expo. It received the participation of 189 nations and 57 international organizations, breaking the record kept by the Hanover Germany Expo. The visitor number of more than 73 million broke the record kept by the Osaka Japan Expo. During the Expo, more than 20,000 cultural performances were put on, with an average number of 100 shows per day.

At the same time, Shanghai Expo was the first World Expo to take "city" as the exhibition theme. The Urban Best Practice Area and the on-line World Expo are the two most pioneering achievements of the Shanghai Expo.

Visitors from all over the world have enjoyed a wonderful World Exposition. After the Expo, most of the pavilions will be dismantled in the Expo site, and only the "One Axis and Four Pavilions" will be kept, namely the Expo Axis, the China Pavilion, the Expo Theme Pavilion, the Expo Center and the Expo Cultural Center. If you didn't have a chance to visit these sites during the Expo period, why not visit later after the Expo. Chinatravel.com will kept abreast of the latest tourist information about the Shanghai Expo pavilions. Keep focusing on our special report on the Shanghai Expo 2010.
