The first direct flight between Yangon and Guangzhou opened

Burma International Airline officially opened the first air route traveling between China and Burma. At present, China Southern Airlines and Burma Airlines have opened direct Flights between Yangon and  Guangzhou with a monthly passenger volume of about 6,000. There are two flights at 14:15 on Thursday and Sunday every week, taking about 2.5 hours for a single trip.

The newly opened direct flights will not only help to ease the travel pressure between two cities, but also solve the problem of changing flights in Bangkok for lack of flights. Moreover, the residents in both cities will get more travel choices and the air fare may reduce to some extent.

Burma airliner traveling between Yangon and Guangzhou contains 8 business cabins and 144 economy classes. In consideration of the passengers including both Burma and Chinese citizens, there are 4 Chinese airline stewardesses and 4 Burma airline stewardesses in the airliner, providing the international service for passengers. In respect of catering service, the flight departuring from Guangzhou will provide the normal international food and the flight departuring from Yangon will offer passengers traditional Burma food with rich local characteristics.
