Direct Flight from Urumchi to Istanbul to Open on July 11

According to Xinhua news network, Hainan Airlines will open a direct flight from Urumchi of Xinjiang in China to Istanbul of Turkey from July 11th, 2011, which will not only contribute to promoting mutual tourism and cultural and economic exchange between two countries, but also connect China with countries on continent of Europe.

The flight takes about 7 hours for a single trip, with the aircraft number of A300-200. There are 2 scheduled flights every week, traveling on Tuesday and Sunday. The flight departures at 21:30 from Urumchi and arrives in Istanbul at 23:30. Also, the flight departures at 1:30 from Istanbul and arrives in Urumchi at 12:40.
