2011 Jinshan Tourism Festival, which is part of the Shanghai Tourism Festival, is to be held from September 18th to October 8 in Shanghai, with the theme of a unique romantic travel in Jinshan.

After the short opening ceremony, tourists can appreciate prettily decorated floats in parade in Qianjing Avenue in Shihua urban area of Jinshan, and the decorated floats will stay in the avenue for hours after the cruise. During the festival, Jinshan Seafood Cultural Festival will be held in Jinshanzui fishing village, offering tourists a seafood feast with various fresh seafood of Jinshan. On September 28th, visitors can appreciate the characteristic group wedding party in Fengjing Town with a history of one thousand years and West Lake area of Hangzhou. From October 1 to 7th, a kite flying meeting on Jinshan City Beach will help tourists to relax themselves. Besides, from September 1st to October 8th, Goddess of Mercy Culture Festival will be held in Donglin Temple of Shanghai. Besides, as this is a golden harvest season, tourists can also go to visit fruit orchards of Luxiang Town to enjoy the pleasure of picking fruits personally, or taste rural specialties in nearby villages.
