On Dec. 5, heavy fog and smog weather shrouded Beijing and the visibility is lower than 200 meters. Due to the foggy weather, many flights are canceled and delayed. Experts said that air pollution is the core reason. The PM2.5 level of Beijing reached to 522 (Dec.5 17:00) while the max level of PM2.5 is 500.

Now the foggy weather has expanded to Tianjin, Hebei Province even south to Zhejiang and Fujian provinces.

For travellers to China, we suggest you avoid Beijing during the foggy weather. We recommend you come to China through Shanghai or Hong Kong and don't forget to bring masks with you.
