According to the Information Office of Beijing Municipality, foreign travelers from 45 countries will benefit from the latest 72 hours visa-free stay policy since Jan.1st, 2013.
Among the 45 countries, travelers with third country visas and plane tickets to third countries can enjoy 72 hours visa-free stay in Beijing. During 72-hour stay, travelers can’t leave Beijing for other cities in China and have to depart from Beijing to the third countries.
The 45 countries to benefit from the policy include:
Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, the Republic of Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Republic of Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, the Republic of Slovakia, the Republic of Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Swiss, Russia, the United Kingdom of Britain, the Republic of Ireland, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, the United States of America, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Australia, New Zealand, the Republic of Korea, Japan, Singapore, Brunei, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar
Compared with 24-hour Visa-free Stay at this moment, this police will boost tourism in Beijing. Travelers will have more time to go sightseeing such as a trip to the Great Wall and the Forbidden City or taste Beijing authentic food like Beijing Roast Duck.
