144 hours travel without a Chinese visa in the Pearl River Delta Region

Published by  meimeili at 2013/6/28;

If you can’t benefit from 72-hour visa free travel in Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu and Guangzhou, you can apply for a 144-hour (6 days) visa free trip to the Pearl River Delta Region in Guangdong Province. Foreign travelers in Hong Kong and Macao can travel without a Chinese visa through a travel group organized by a legal Hong Kong or Macao local travel agency.

You can visit Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Zhaoqing and Huizhou in the Pearl River Delta region, and your stay is no more than 6 days. Travelers whose countries have diplomatic relations with China can benefit from the policy. During your stay in the areas, you can’t visit other parts in Guangdong provinces or other provinces in China. Otherwise you need to apply for a Chinese travel visa.

The number of travelers joining in a travel group is not less than 2 persons who need to have same national passports. And travelers with dual nationality can’t join in a 144-hour visa free trip to the Pearl River Delta Region. Usually you have to pass through and come back from the same Chinese border, however, you can entrance and exit China through different borders in the same city.

For example, you can entrance China through Luohu Border in Shenzhen, and you can leave Shenzhen through Shekou Border. If you pass through Luohu Border in Shenzhen, you can’t leave China through Guangzhou Border. When you want to directly visit Shantou, it is acceptable to stay in Shantou administrative region.

What document do I need to apply for a visa free stay in the Pearl River Delta region ? You only need to give a scanning of your passport to the local travel agency in Hong Kong or Macau.

If you want to visit the Pearl River Delta Region in Guangdong Province, China Travel can tailor-make a tour including them, which can save your time, money, and trouble. Please feel free to tell us your tour ideas!
