72-Hour Visa-free Transit in Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport will come effective from Nov. 1st in 2013. This policy demonstrate that transit passengers from 45 countries who have determined the date and booked a flight seat to visit a third country within 72 hour, are allowed to dispense with visa by valid international travel documents. Theoretically, transit passengers are allowed to stay in Chongqing for 4 days at most.

This new policy is no doubt good news, both for the tourism industry of Chongqing and foreign travelers from these 45 countries. Chongqing is one of the four municipality city in China, varied famous attractions have left travelers great impressions, such as Dazu Rock Carvings, ancient Ci Qi Kou Antient Town, General Joseph W. Stilwell Museum, Three Gorges Museum, People's Assembly Hall, Chongqing Zoo, and Wulong Karst.
