"You are not a man of courage if you don't climb the Great Wall", as a Chinese saying goes. Last week I did really become a brave girl to climb the Great Wall. The choice of climbing the Great Wall was really a kind of challenge for me. I never thought I could be this brave. The experience of Great Wall adventure told me that I can do much more than I imagine, if I can be brave enough.

Being the first time to visit the Great Wall, you can imagine my excitement. Moreover, it was a two-day tough hiking tour of the wild Great Wall, from Gubeikou section to Simatai section. This journey was really a test of my physical strength and patience. Fortunately, I was finally able to stick it out, what a lovely thing!

In the morning of the first day, I was in a group of five friends, including two girls started the adventure. Before the journey, we had already prepared enough tents, sleeping bags, food and water.

When we arrived at Gubeikou section Great Wall, it was really an amazing thing to see the zigzag Great Wall wandering along the mountain range to the far distance. At the beginning, I was in a way afraid of the adventure, and I was thinking of quitting the journey. My friends kept encouraging me, and the three "gentle-boys" made me forget my panic.

On the way, I could finally have the chance to witness the original face of this great fortification. The various kinds of beacon towers, the stone-built walls were presenting me the original charm of the ancient Great Wall, although not as magnificent as I had imagined before.

At night, we rested on the Great Wall in our tents, and it was quiet a happy experience. We were talking, singing, dancing under the starry sky. I forgot my tiredness soon, and had a beautiful dream that night. The scenes of armies fighting on the Great Wall kept coming into my dream on and on.

The next morning, we started our adventure to our destination, the Simatai section. Having the experience of the first day, we went through a fast journey, and we no longer complained about the tough situation.

When we reached the mountain foot, there is a village, from where we bought some big and red apples. Being almost out of breath, we went back to our hotel and planned for another trip in China.
