It’s very common that hikers suspend their hiking owing to natural conditions (such as weather variations) and weak physical strength, however, nothing is going to stop those who have a strong will, it’s the very challenge that stimulates hikers to overcome themselves to appreciate the beauty of nature and cultural relics.

Tiger Leaping Gorge Hiking of Lijiang
The 18 -kilometer (11 miles) long Tiger Leaping Gorge is nestled on the upper reaches of Jinshan River (Golden Sand River) with 60 kilometers (37 miles) from Lijiang Naxi Ethnic Autonomous County, which is composed of three sections, the Upper Gorge Section, the Middle Section and the Lower Gorge Section, backing the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in the east and facing Haba Mountain in the west.
The legend goest that a strong tiger once leaped from the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain to Haba Snow Mountain, hence its name, and it takes about two days to complete a typical Tiger Leaping Gorge hiking route. The the first-day hiking route starts at Qiaotou and ends at the Halfway Guesthouse, during which visitors will pass Naxi Yage Hostle, Yangan House and 24 bents successively. The second-day hiking route begins after one-night rest at the Halfway Guesthouse, and visitors will walk past the Dragon Cave Waterfall, Tina’s Hostle, the Middle Gorge, the Walnut Garden, the Old Ferry and reach Daju. Some of the mountain paths are rather strenous, and you’d better go with a group for your own safety.
Li River Hiking of Guilin
Just as the saying goes, Guilin mountaint and water scenery is the best of its kind in the world, and the Li River Hiking of Guilin offers visitors an unforgottable experience in your life, during which you can appreicate green mountains, crystal clear water, watter mills and water buffalos along the banks of the river.
The most classical hiking route along the Li River starts from Yangdi to Xingping, which is about 22 kilometers (14 miles) and takes about 6 hours to complete the whole jouney. Yellow Mountain Hiking
Just as the Chinese old saying goes that the trips to China's five great mountains render trips to other mountains unnecessary and a trip to Huangshan Mountain renders trips to the five great mountains unneeessary. Huangshan Mountain is famous for its fantastic pines, grotesque rocks, the sea of clouds and hot springs in China, on which hiking is a magnet for visitors from all over the world.
A typical Huangshan Mountain hiking usually lasts two days, and the first -day hiking starts at Yungu Temple and ends at Guangming Summit (living in Guangming Summit Mountain Villa), during which visitors walks past White Goose Hill (Bai’eling Hill), Black Tiger Pine (Heihusong), Harp Pine (Shuqinsong), the North Sea (Beihai), the South Sea (Nanhai), the West Sea (Xihai), Cloud-Dispelling Tower and Rock Flown From Afar respectively. The second-day start at Guangming Summit and ends at Ciguang Pavilion, during which visitors walks past the Heavenly Sea, Aoyu Peak, the Lotus Peak, the Jade Screen Tower, the Guest- Greeting Pine and Banshan Temple respectively.
Great Wall Hiking
As the symbol of China, Great Wall is a must-see scenic spot during your Beijing travel. A number of sections of Great Wall are available in China, highlighted by Mutianyu Great Wall and Badaling Great Wall, both of which are magnets for hiker, and you’re highly recommended to hike along Mutianyu Great Wall.
Nestled in Huairou County of Beijing, Mutianyu Great Wall was built during the Ming Dynasty (1368- 1644) and is famous for its unique architectural style, where watchtowers and crenels are dotted, and only 2.5- kilometer (1.6 -mile) section are open to the public. Mutianyu Great Wall takes on various looks seasonally, which is surrounded of variousl wild flowers in spring and hidden among verdant trees in summer and dotted with red leaves in autumn, and it’s clad in white and presents a typical north China scene in winter.
A typical Mutianyu Great Wall Hiking takes about 3-4 hours, where visitors can take a cable car to the top of the Great Wall, and then walk from the 1st watchtower to the 20th watchtower if you are strong enough. For those visitors who are not physically strong enough, you’re recommended to walk past 4 to 8 watchtower, and it’s extremely beautiful by overlooking the scenery of mountain ranges by standing on the Great Wall.
Longji Terraced Field Hiking
Longji Terraced Filed is 22 kilometers (14 miels) from Longsheng Conuty and 103 kilometers (64 miles) from Guilin, which is not only an ideal place to take photos and a good place to experience the folk customs of the Zhuang and the Yao ethnic groups, but also it’s an wonderful place for visitors to go hiking.
A classical Longji Terraced Filed hiking route starts from Dazhai Village to Pingan Village, along which visitors pass by Tiantou Village, and the whole journery lasts about three to four hours. Dazhai is the gathering palce for the Red Yao ethnic group, where the architectures feature stilted buildings, and the highlights include the Golden Buddha Summit and the Heavenly Ladder.
Pingan Village is the gathering palce for the Zhuang ethnci group, where the major attractions are highlighted by Seven Stars Surrounding the Moon and Nine Dragons and Five Tigers. Along the hiking route, visitors can appreciate the beauty of wild flowers, water buffalo grazing in the filed and old water mills and the ethnic people in exotic costume.
