When you enter the old town of Nanxun, a scent of primitive simplicity greets you.

In common with other water towns of the Yangtze River Delta, you may see typical small bridges, flowing currents and thatched households and find ancient bridges of one thousand years and old houses of one hundreds years in Nanxun. The buildings of thousands of years ago still stand erect. After thousands of years of rain and wind, they still stand tall and upright in the place where they were built at that time. It seems as if time had stopped on them. They silently tell of years of rain and wind they have gone through to later generations in their own way.

Tips: The coach station on the Haiqiujiang Road has shuttle buses heading for Nanxun every day. It runs every twenty minutes. The departure time ranges from 6:00 to 19:30.
