It’s very excited in the Flower and Bird Market on Saturday and Monday. On the weekend, a lot of people love to wander in the market. In spring, all the plants are turning green and some flowers are opening. There are more people than in winter. Chinese people like buy some plants to decorate their rooms. And most people live in the apartment without a garden, so they prefer the houseplants to the trees. In China, the plants have some symbolic meanings. For example, an orange tree stands for good lucky. So in the Spring Festival, the people in the south of China often buy a pot of orange tree and put it in the dinning room. They wish it can give their relatives, friends and them some lucky in the coming year. They wish all the people have good health and a happy life. Some plants can’t only decorate the room, but also can clean the air in the room, such as the cactus, the aloe, the orchid. In my bedroom, a pot of aloe is put on the desk.

Besides the plants, there are many animals be sold in the market. There are dogs, cats, goldfish, turtles, sorts of birds, and so on. Many children like to watch these little animals. Their parents also buy one for them in order to teach them how to take care of others. I raised a small hamster as a pet. It is a gift from my friend. I was so happy. And I bought a cage for this little thing immediately. But after three months, the hamster died because of the hot weather. Actually it’s my carelessness caused it died. I was sad and blamed myself. From then on, I do everything carefully as far as possible in order to avoid to do wrong things.
