it is widely grown at Mt.Jiuhua and belongs to the perennial herbs of the lily family. Which is also called “Jitoushen”,”laohujiang”. It is mostly grown at both sides of moist slopes or valleys. It has many leaves for one branch and the leave is as short as that of bamboos. The flower is green white with three to five gathering into a shape of the umbrella. The stalk of the flower bends down and the root extends widely with fat and fleshy texture. The processing is quite delicate which will undergo nine procedures for steaming and nine for sunbathing. It is generally called “Nine-made Huangjing”
