Aviation

Though there is no airport in Chuzhou, you can take a bus to Lukou Airport in Nanjing , Jingsu Province, and you can also get there by train. It is only half an hour’s journey.

Railways

It is convenient to reach Chuzhou by train. Chuzhou Train Station is an important station on Beijing - Shanghai Railway line. If you take the express train which is driven from Nanjing station to the north, you will arrive at Chuzhou in 40 minutes. If you go there by taking the train from Bengbu to the south, you will be in Chuzhou in 120 minutes. Since it is quite near from Chuzhou to Nanjing, namely, it is 59 kilometers from Chuzhou to Nanjing and only half an hour’s journey by train; all express trains do not stop at Chuzhou. You can get to Nanjing by express train or by plane, and then transfer to a long-distance bus, and you will reach Chuzhou in one hour.

Roads

There are buses to Nanjing , Hefei, Shanghai and so on. It is economical for you to get to Chuzhou Coach Center by No.1, No.4, No.8, or No.9 bus in the city proper.

Urban traffic

Buses

The area of Chuzhou’s City proper is comparatively small, so there are only 8 bus lines. Most of the buses are local-produced Yangze buses, No.1, No.2, and No.8 buses are self-service ticket office with the ticket price of 1 yuan.

Taxis

The brands of taxis in the city proper of Chuzhou are Sai’ou, Lingyang, Qianli Ma, and so on. The first charge is 4 yuan for the first 2.5 kilometers, and then 1 yuan per kilometer, while at night from 23:00 to 05:00 the second day, in addition to 5 yuan for the first charge, allowance at night is also included. Other charges, like charges for waiting in the half-way, can be negotiated face to face.
