Datong is a busy city. It develops its charming nightlife. Local people say that the nightlife of Datong is so common, however, every people could find what they need most.
Generally, when the nights come, younger generations like shopping in the supper malls, drinking in the bars, or having some coffee with best friends in cafes, or having a comfortable hot bath in saunas, as well as doing some sports in health clubs. With high pressure from work and life, they like pursue money and then enjoy the happiness of consumption. This is life.
But the older generations prefer to live a quiet life. Some of them choose to leave at home to watch TV or do some reading or chat with families. Some of them like to call some friends or go to the street to play chess. Most Women like to get together to perform Yang Ge dance or Ballroom dance or some local characteristic activities in the squares. These older generations are the persons who last the life as well as cultures.

Datong Pubs & Bars
In the past, Datong's nightlife is not very exciting but now it has become increasingly colorful and brilliant. The city's squares and parks are the best destinations for Datong people to spend their nightlife.
Theatres and Concerts are also popular places for people to congregate and relax. Situated in Yantong W. Rd, Datong Theatre mainly shows the local Jin Operas and it is very crowded on the weekend during 8 pm to 10 pm.
Bars or Clubs are also good choices to entertainment in the evening. Intel Club which is open from 10 am to late night is located in 257 Dabei Road. It is one of the largest clubs in Datong. It is consisted of bars, dance halls, billiards, sauna & massage. Red Flag Nightclub which is situated in No.11 Zhan Qian St. offers dance hall, KTV, teahouse, sauna & massage and billiards from 9 am to midnight. Moreover, Yakoo Bar and Spot Bar are listed in the best Bars of Datong.
