The colossal Yellow River Monument, also known as The Age-pass, was finished and opened to visitors in June 1995. The Monument, which is 790 meters long, 2.5 meters tall and 0.9 meters wide, is made up of 1,093 toughened glass containers each holding water samples taken at 1,093 different places along the 5,464-kilometer-long main course of the Yellow River.
