The water shield on Fubao Mountain, Enshi

Water shield, also known as dollar pad or water target, is a perennial plant with relatively small, floating oval to elliptical leaves which are green in the front and dark red in the back, and long and narrow purplish. Legend has that the water shield on Fubao Mountain, as a treasure in the water, was a gift from the ancient holly mountain. Therefore, it had been a tribute to the palace for the previous dynasties and a good dish in the feast.
