June marks the arrival of the hot weather in China, with the temperature ranging from 16ºC to 33ºC in most cities of China. From this month on, the high temperature will keep rising until the extremely hot weather in July and August. It is dry in North China, wet and humid in South and Central China. The area of South of the Yangtze River is very rainy as the rainy season takes place. June ranks as one of the wettest months for many areas of China. Though it’s quite hot and wet, June is not that hot as July and August.

North: It’s very hot in North China, with the temperature ranging from 18 ºC to 30 ºC in Beijing. Thus, short-sleeved T-shirts and shorts are available.

Central: Tourists had better bring short-sleeved or sleeveless shirts, skirts, shorts, umbrellas, rain shoes, easy-dry shoes, sun glasses and sun cream.

South: It’s hot and humid, with the temperature ranging from 21ºC to 31ºC . The rainy season arrives in many regions of South China. Thus, tourists had better bring not only short-sleeved or sleeveless shirts, skirts and shorts, but also umbrellas, rain shoes, easy-dry shoes, sun glasses and sun cream.

Lijiang, located in northwestern Yunnan Province, is a prefecture-level city boasting fantastic scenery, with mountains and rivers ideally matched together.
