Different jade-making techniques from different places have all been handed down from generation to generation, with their own specific and unique local characteristics.

In the late Ming Dynasty and early Qing Dynasty, Shen Shou, a master embroiderer, combined Japanese and Western fine arts with traditional Chinese embroidery skills to create a unique style. Su embroidery is very elegant, with simple designs highlighting a main theme. The stitching is smooth, dense, thin, neat, even, delicate and harmonious. The thin threads are divided into numerous strands that are barely visible to the naked eye. Double-sided embroidery has the same patterns on both sides and uses an embroidering method that shows no seams in the stitches. Su embroidery has become increasingly famous throughout the world.

Porcelain manufacturing in China gradually developed from the Wei, Jin and North and South Dynasties to the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Ceramic is one of the three greatest specialties from the Western Han Dynasty that has become internationally known. The town of Jingdezhen in Jiangxi Province is China’s "Porcelain Capital" in China.
- Chinese Paper Umbrella: Very few inventions of man can match the perfect marriage of delicacy and sturdiness than that of the paper umbrella from China. The dainty surface, with its paintings of flowers, birds, characters and the picturesque Chinese landscape, belies the strength that can shield man from many hazards of nature. So, what is it that goes into making it such a unique possession? Let’s retrace our steps to the very land from where it originated - the Fujian province of China.

- minh replied at 2008-10-31 16:47:00
how much does it cost for additional luggage and how much should it weigh? I have six extra luggage. Is that okay?

- Deirdre replied at 2008-6-23 20:29:00
There are two common standards of free baggage allowances for international flights. Standard 1: First Class 40kg (88 lb.), Business Class 30kg (66 lb.), Economy Class 20kg (44 lb.). Standard 2: Each passenger may have 2 pieces of free baggage. For First Class and Business Class, the weight of each piece should be less than 32kg and the dimensions (LWH) of each piece should not exceed 158cm. For Economy Class, the LWH of the 2 pieces of baggage cannot exceed 273cm. For both standards, no free baggage allowances are given for infant tickets. Please use these regulations as a guideline only. Airlines may decide to change their regulations as they see fit.
