Jiayuguan International Gliding Festival

Jiayuguan Pass International Gliding Festival is held annually at Jiayuguan Pass Gliding Base, Gansu Province from July 15-18. Activities include gliding contests and flight Train ing are arranged. And silver, gold and diamond flight certificates are granted. Tourists may experience this unique activity under the direction of the pilots and enjoy the mystical colors of the vast Gobi Desert and the splendor of the snow sceneries of Qilian Mountains. Tourists may also visit Jiayuguan Pass-the western end of the Great Wall, Jiuquan and Dunhuang-home to the greatest collection of Buddhist frescoes in China.
