The Jing people mainly live together in Jiangping Town, Fangcheng autonomous county of all nationalities in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous county. The rest of them are scattered in Fangcheng, Qinzhou, Dongxin, etc. The Jing people in Jiangping Town are mainly scattered in Wutou, Wanwei, Shanxin, Tanji, Zhushan, Jiangping and whereabouts along the Beibu Gulf in the Dongxing of the Fangcheng Harbor City.

The Jing nationality has its own language; thanks to the long-term friendly intercourse with the Han nationality, most of them can understand the Han language and characters. They once employed "Zinan" characters, a written language of its own nationality, which were created at the end of the 13th century based on the Chinese characters they used. Now the Zinan characters are still in use in songbooks, religious and Confucian classics.
